Toyo Tanso is looking at Sales Travel expenses.  What are other companies doing for per diems and for choosing accommodations?

  • We don’t do per diems for travel since each situation varies widely. We follow the “we trust you to spend responsibly” policy and “if you have to ask then its about $20/meal for breakfast and lunch and $40 for dinner so if you decide to treat yourself tonight, consider going more affordable tomorrow”. For hotels, we ask that they book with Hilton, Holiday Inn, or Best Western since we have corporate rates at those locations near our other plants and it keeps the price reasonable in most other cities.
