This is a one day hands-on training experience using a simulation to show the four steps of the Improvement Kata. Attendees will practice three Kata’s: The Improvement Kata, the Process Analysis Kata, and the Coaching Kata. This class provides an excellent opportunity grow the participants skills by learning about the Improvement Kata, practicing gathering data and organizing it onto story boards, and experiencing coaching and Coaching Kata.
**Using an awesome production line style simulation to teach the pattern of the Improvement Kata, here are the key learning objectives:
- Provide a deep dive into the four steps of the Improvement Kata: Understand the Direction, Establish Current Condition, Set the Target Condition, and PDCA Towards the Target Condition (includes the Coaching Kata)
- Practice capturing and documenting the four steps of the Improvement Kata
- Process Analysis, Target Condition, and PDCA Steps (with Coaching)
- Practice the Coaching Kata routine as steps are taken to achieve the Target Condition
This is an excellent class for those just starting to use the Improvement Kata and Coaching Kata, as well as those who have been practicing these patterns, but would like a refresher!
