Process Analysis Deep Dive workshop (6 virtual sessions)
Process Analysis Deep Dive workshop (6 virtual sessions)
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Zoom
In this course we will focus on the first critical steps of this process, “Grasp the Current Condition.” This is a hands-on practicum over six sessions.
In each session we will introduce a new topic, answer questions, and assign a task or exercise that deepens your understanding of that step or presents an opportunity to practice it in your own workplace. The objective is that you can not only apply these steps, you can also help others learn to apply the steps themselves.
Over six sessions, we will explore together:
- Extracting performance metrics from a challenge
- Determining the required operating cadence
- Capturing a process in a block diagram
- Timing exit cycles and documenting variation – run charts and load charts
- Determining machine constraints and calculating people required
- What does this all mean? Interpreting your process analysis to set a next target condition.
Each week you will have assignments to practice and apply what we are learning together to different processes. You can count on a hour or more outside the online time together.

Leader Standard Work: Creating your new leadership routine
The true purpose of leadership is to empower and develop your employees so they can achieve awesome things. To accomplish this, you need a standard way of working that will allow you to maximize your efficiency and impact while fulfilling your most important duty to your people. As the whirlwind takes over our day, we quickly lose control of our priorities. Once we fall into firefighting mode, our ability to improve and sustain processes and activities becomes secondary. This is where Leader Standard Work (LSW) comes into play. LSW is the foundation to creating new leadership habits that will allow you to spend more time listening to your team, developing your team’s problem-solving abilities, and sustaining improvements.
During this interactive session you will: • Gain an understanding of the value of implementing LSW • Create a first draft of your own LSW • Be inspired to start your new daily habits

Training SIG
Training SIG
9:00 am - 10:00 am
Zoom (mostly)
Throughout 2025 we will be meeting on the 3rd Fridays at 9am (Pacific). NWHPEC members can reach out to Jennifer if you're interested in joining.
Agendas may be pre-defined, or they may be ad-hoc. We’ll discuss this at the end of each meeting, and I’ll communicate it in advance. If we have an opportunity to do an in-person demo, I’ll make an adjustment to timeslot.
What do we talk about at the Training SIG?
Over the past few years, we’ve tackled topics like: adult learning, creating engaging virtual sessions, online learning (software and training development), onboarding programs, train the trainer (including TWI Job Instruction), and much more. We’ve met in person to experience and provide feedback on trainings like: Lean 101 with Chocolate Chip Cookies and Train the Trainer. We’ve created a resource board and are open to sharing our training plans and training resources we’ve discovered or developed. This group is made up of passionate learning and development professionals who love to talk about challenges, brainstorm training ideas, and demo their training for feedback.
What is a Special Interest Group?
Special Interest Groups, or SIGs, are member-started, led, and disbanded. They start with an individual who is interested in learning from and connecting with others on a particular topic. The focus is on learning together, sharing together, and supporting each other on the given topic. After the SIG has learned all they planned to learn, they decide if they want to continue meeting or disband. SIGs are a great way to leverage the combined experiences and knowledge within NWHPEC!
