This is a one-day overview of all Lean principles with a fun and interactive simulation demonstrating the application of the Lean tools. This class is a pre-requisite for many other classes and is a very beneficial class for people new to Lean principles or individuals who need a broader Lean education. 5S Workshop (Kaizen-style) – Class is Full

This two-day event is well worth the resource commitment! Attendees will receive a half day of 5S training and then spend one and a half days in 5S kaizen activity improving an area in the Moonstruck Chocolate warehouse. Use this learn-do model to hone your 5S skills and bring training and expertise back to your company. Completion of the Introduction to Lean or equivalent Lean knowledge or exposure is a pre-requisite for this kaizen-style 5S event. Oracle is advancing its CI program beyond the “tools” and is taking the next progressive step toward strategic CI planning. Hoshin Kanri is the first planning tool that comes to mind, and Oracle is curious if any member companies use CI strategic planning like Hoshin for their CI program or even the business planning.
